Greetings,
I would like to report a missing plastic folder, which contains my military identification and lease agreement in Japan; both documents are enclosed in a plastic document holder within the folder. I lost the item yesterday morning, Tuesday, November 28th at JFK terminal 1 Gate 2 - Japan Airlines while waiting to board JAL Flight #8495 (departure 10:55 a.m.) I must left the folder in the chair in the waiting area prior to boarding. I sat next to the black phone charger kiosk across from the Panini and Pizza stand. I had two carry-on's with me and I did not realize I left the folder until after the flight departed from JFK. While waiting to board, I did stop by the women's restroom and Starbucks right by my gate (Gate 2). However, I do believe the folder was left in the waiting area of Gate 2. I reported the lost folder to the JAL flight attendant on flight 8495 and she told me to contact JFK airport when I arrive to NRT or Japan.
The folder is an 8 x 10, plastic beige pocket folder with gold and black horizontal stripes. Here is a link of a photo of the folder (the folder on the bottom right corner):

I've also attached a photo below as well.
My folder also contained additional documents, which are my flight itinerary from American Airlines and Japan Airlines, a membership brochure from Japan Airlines, Discharge and release form from Royalton White Sands, Montego Bay, and JRK lounge information.
At your earliest convenience, could you please contact me regarding my lost item? My folder contains a lot of personal identification information and I would like to know if someone turned it in at Gate 2 with Japan Airlines or to the JFK lost and found.
