Greetings!
I am asking your assistance to recover a cell phone which may have been lost upon deplaning from a Turkish Airlines Flight 1370 at JFK on November 27th at approximately 6:15 pm.
The cell phone was placed into a carry-on bag about 10 minutes before touching down at JFK. I discovered that the bag was not properly closed (pocket unzipped when should have been closed) when I arrived at customs about 15 minutes after arrival.
On discovering that my cell phone was missing, I immediately asked Turkish Airlines ground personnel to contact the flight crew but the phone could not be located at that time. Realistically, they had little time to look for the cell phone. I have filed a "lost item report" and am in communication with Turkish Airlines.
The cell phone contains personal history (of grandmother, of mother, of father) that will be lost if the phone is not recovered.
